For more than ten years now the local farmers from Farmington, Missouri and the surrounding area have been bringing the best of their farm fresh products to the Farmington Farmer's Market for everyone to enjoy. Our market is currently located on the VFW parking lot on Karsch Blvd in Farmington, Missouri. The Farmington Farmers Market is a producers only market. This means that the grower is the person behind the table. This also means that your dollars stay in the local community, supports small farms and families, you can ask the farmer about their growing practices, your products are the freshest possible meaning better nutrition and products lasting longer. We allow a few crops to be brought in and resold but these products must be within 100 mile radius. These items include, peaches, cantaloupes, watermelons, apples, and sweet corn.
Every fruit and vegetable that can be be grown in our region is available at the market at some time during the market season. Asparagus, lettuce, spinach, onions, and radishes in the early spring. Broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, beets, peas and potatoes as the spring ripens into summer. The hot summer brings lots of varieties of tomatoes, peppers, squashes, cucumbers, eggplants, green beans, okra, and much more. In the fall, we have a wonderful selection of winter squashes, pumpkins, gourds, decorations, etc.
