About Us:
Harvest Home Farmer's Market is a New York City-based, 501(c)3, non-profit organization dedicated to increasing access to local, farm-fresh produce in low-income neighborhoods. Founded in 1993, our markets create community gathering places that educate the public about health and nutrition,supports regional agriculture and provides job opportunities. Our farmer's markets are open six days a week during the farmer's market season; serving all members of each community.
Harvest Home operates markets in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens. We accept Cash, Credit/Debit, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (Food Stamp)/ EBT cards, Women Infant and Children checks (WIC), Farmer's Market Nutrition Coupons (FMNP), Health Bucks and Health Senior Healthy Shoppers coupons (H2S2).
Located in Central Bronx, and on Burnside Avenue, Echo Park Market is set between two busy thoroughfares in what has to be the geographical center of the Bronx. Echo Park boasts playgrounds, grassy walkways and solid granite rock face creating a surprising scenic experience for market shoppers. During the summer season, the enticing smells from easy to prepare dishes featuring regionally grown produce lure passersby to this bustling market place. The market is located on Burnside Avenue , one the main transportation arteries of the borough.
