About Us:

As the Cultural Director of the Keauhou Beach Resort, Kumu Keala Ching was asked to bring the community together to make Keauhou Beach Resort a location for the local community to seek the wonders of ancient Hawai'i along with our visiting community - visitors to Hawai'i. So, the cultural department of the Keauhou Beach Hotel worked quickly to seek community assistance to start a Keauhou Community Farmer's Market on the grounds to begin on January 2010.  However, it was placed on hold to support other markets within the Keauhou district.

Then, during the summer of 2010, the cultural department was given the okay to seek community assistance to start the community farmer's market on the grounds of Keauhou Beach Resort. With community support of Greg and Gail Smith, Randyl Rupar and several others farmer's of West Hawai'i, the idea of the Ho'oulu Community Farmer's Market began. On November 3, 2010, Ho'oulu Community Farmer's Market open its doors on the grounds of the Keauhou Beach Resort with seventeen  farmer's/vendors and now approaching our second anniversary Ho'oulu Community Farmer's Market is now offering spaces to forty five 40% farmer's and 60% vendors.

On November 7, 2012 Ho'oulu Community Farmer's Market will relocated to the Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa at the Keauhou Bay. Ho'oulu Community Farmer's Market goal is to support farmer's from Hawai'i Island and Made in Hawai'i Arts and Crafts.
