About Us:
This year is the Stockton Certified Farmers' Market Association's 33rd year of operation. The Association was founded on July 7th, 1979 and began with a dozen vendors under the Downtown Freeway. It began operation on Saturday mornings from daylight to 1p.m. The Saturday market, still in its original location, has now grown to over 80 vendors at full capacity supporting thousands of customers in only a four hour period. Its Downtown market is one of the largest Southeast Asian Farmers' Markets in Northern California and has received national recognition.
The Association has had a few other markets at different locations since then. Our current locations include the Downtown Market(33 years old), and our Park West Place Farmers Market(5 years). This Association was one of the first of the over 500 markets in California to be established.
